There are quite a number of fruit names beginning with W. In our search, we also looked at the scientifc names and other names that the fruit may be known locally. In total, we found 24 such names. These are the fruits that begin with W.
Wahoo has a scientific name of Euonymus atropurpureus. Its other names include eastern wahoo, American wahoo and burningbush. This fruit is inedible. Wahoo is a type of deciduous shrub and belongs to the Celastraceae or bittersweet family. This shrub originates from Eastern USA. It can grow up to 8 metres in height.
Weeping pear, also known as willow-leaved pear, has a scientific name of Pyrus salicifolia. This fruit is also inedible. The fruit is green in color and small in size.
